Design and Technology encourages creativity, resilience and independence.

Increasingly challenging projects that develop problem solving in a variety of materials. Pupils learn a broad subject knowledge that incorporates Maths, Science, Engineering and Art. We of course use the technology that that is now common in the engineering and design world but there is still a focus on the traditional handmade skills that establishes a solid foundation. Design Technology is a rigorous subject that gives the pupils the opportunity to become resilient, risk taking and enterprising citizens. They will study the work of others and understand how design is developed through people’s views and specific needs. Pupils who study Design Technology can go on to make a massive contribution to the creativity, wealth and culture of the world.
