OCR Cambridge Nationals Level 1/2 course allows pupils to discover the different skills and knowledge required to work within the industry and to learn how to provide the best possible care. This may be as a early years worker, midwife, social worker, paramedic to name just a few. At some point in everyone lives, they will need the support of these sectors. Studying Health and Social Care teaches our pupils how to provide physical, emotional and social support to help people live their lives to the fullest. This course challenges pupils through the broadness of the curriculum and offers a wide range of real-life scenarios that they one day may face after their school lives. Our pupils are encouraged to independently strive to achieve their full potential, and to build their resilience and empathy skills by analysing real life situations. Our course equips our pupils to not only develop their knowledge and skills but it also focuses on their wellbeing through preparing them physically, emotionally and psychologically by building their self-esteem, confidence and beliefs in their own abilities.
