The Art and Design curriculum is a plan for progression and learning to include the following-

• The development of skills, knowledge and understanding gained through media, processes and techniques.
• Widening knowledge of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural dimensions of the subject
• Becoming more creative; to increase visual communication, analytical and lateral thinking skills
• To heighten engagement and awareness of the relevance to art to pupils’ own lives and as a window to the world.
