Worcester Wolves Trip

9th October 2026

What a fantastic evening we had watching the Worcester Wolves take on Cardiff Met Archers!

From the moment we arrived, our pupils were an absolute credit to the school. Their behaviour, enthusiasm and positive attitude throughout the trip were outstanding. Whether travelling, visiting McDonald’s, or cheering from the stands, they represented both the school and the wider Tenbury community brilliantly. Staff at the venue commented on the atmosphere created by our group, and it was fantastic to see so many pupils engaging so positively with the event.

Before the game, pupils enjoyed a visit to McDonald’s, which proved to be a popular start to the evening. Spirits were further lifted when Mrs Dean made a surprise appearance. An excited rumour quickly spread that she was about to treat everyone to a meal… unfortunately, this turned out to be completely unfounded! Maybe next time, Mrs Dean!

Once the game got underway, the pupils really got into the spirit of the occasion, supporting the home team loudly throughout and helping to create a brilliant atmosphere. Their energy and enthusiasm never dipped, and they were fully invested in the action from the first whistle to the last.

A special mention has to go to Spencer, who got the opportunity to head onto the court and show the world that Mr Wilkes has clearly not taught him how to shoot! Thankfully, he redeemed himself with a very tidy lay-up and represented the school brilliantly.

A huge thank you goes to Mr Morris, Mrs Morris and Miss Bull for giving up their time to support the trip. Your help, enthusiasm and good humour were greatly appreciated. A special mention also goes to Mr Wilks (Suit) for bringing his family along to say hello to us all. It was lovely to see everyone supporting the event and helping to make the evening such a success.

Overall, it was a fantastic trip and a great opportunity for pupils to enjoy basketball together outside of school. Most importantly, the pupils were a superb advertisement for our school and community, and they should be very proud of how they conducted themselves throughout the evening.

We will certainly be looking to book another basketball trip very soon!

Reminders

• Basketball training takes place every Wednesday after school and is open to all pupils.
• Pupils are also welcome to play at break time and lunch time. All they need is a pair of trainers and plenty of enthusiasm.

We look forward to seeing even more of you on the court soon!
